Therapy Offerings

Therapy for Anxiety, OCD, and ADHD

If you are here…

You may feel like you’re doing your best to keep up with the demands of your life, school, work, relationships, family, expectations, yet still feel a steady undercurrent of anxiety or stress. Even when things are technically “okay,” it can feel hard to relax, settle your thoughts, or trust that you’re handling things well enough.

Many people I work with are thoughtful and capable, yet spend a lot of energy managing their inner world. They overthink, second-guess themselves, or feel pressure to stay on top of everything. Over time, that effort can become exhausting and start to affect confidence, motivation, or emotional balance.

In therapy, we take a closer look at what’s contributing to that strain and how your mind has learned to respond to stress, uncertainty, or pressure. I work with adults, young adults, and teens who want support that feels grounded, practical, and thoughtful, not just strategies to push through, but help that actually makes things feel more manageable.

Over time, many clients find they feel steadier, more confident in their responses, and better able to handle challenges as they come, even when life continues to feel full or demanding.

What Therapy With Me Is Like

Therapy with me is compassionate, flexible, and responsive to what you are currently experiencing.

Sessions are guided by what feels most important to focus on that day. We might spend time working through something specific that came up recently, or we may step back to look at patterns, decisions, or situations that feel harder to navigate on your own.

You can expect therapy to be both thoughtful and practical. Alongside gaining clarity and understanding, I will share tangible tools and approaches you can use outside of therapy, so you feel supported between sessions, not just during them.

The pace of therapy is collaborative and adaptable. Some periods of work are more skills-based and focused, while others are more reflective. We will check in regularly and adjust as needed, with the goal of helping you feel more confident and capable in handling things on your own over time.

I Specialize in Working With

  • Anxiety often shows up as constant vigilance and mental effort. Your mind may be running ahead, anticipating problems, replaying conversations, or trying to make sure nothing goes wrong. Even when things are relatively calm, it can feel hard to relax or trust that you’re okay.

Over time, this can be exhausting. Many people with anxiety feel worn down by their own thoughts, unsure how to quiet their mind, and frustrated by how much energy everyday decisions and interactions seem to take. Therapy focuses on helping you understand what keeps anxiety activated and develop ways of responding that bring more steadiness and relief in daily life.

  • OCD is often driven by intense doubt and a need to feel certain, safe, or reassured. You may experience intrusive thoughts that feel disturbing, confusing, or completely at odds with who you are. In response, you might find yourself mentally checking, analyzing, seeking reassurance, or following internal rules to try to get relief.

While these strategies can feel necessary in the moment, they often become draining and time-consuming, leaving you stuck in cycles that are hard to break. Therapy helps you understand how OCD operates and learn ways of responding that reduce its control over your thoughts and your day, without requiring constant effort or self-monitoring.

  • ADHD can make it hard to initiate tasks, sustain focus, or follow through, even on things that matter to you. You may feel mentally scattered, easily overwhelmed, or frustrated by how much effort it takes to organize your thoughts, time, or energy.

Many people with ADHD also struggle with self-doubt or self-criticism, especially when their internal experience doesn’t match expectations placed on them. Therapy helps you understand how ADHD shows up for you and develop practical ways of working with your attention, emotions, and motivation, so everyday life feels more manageable and less discouraging.

  • In addition to my core specialties above, I also support clients navigating:

    • Depression

    • Burnout and school or career stress

    • Self-esteem and body image concerns

    • Relationship stress

    • Sleep difficulties

    • Grief and loss

    • Pregnancy and postpartum experiences

    • Major life transitions

My Approach

My work is grounded in evidence-based therapy and shaped by what is most useful in your real, day-to-day life.

I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), especially when working with anxiety and OCD. These approaches help us understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact, and how to respond in ways that reduce distress rather than reinforce it.

I also incorporate mindfulness- and somatic-informed practices to support emotional regulation and awareness of how stress shows up in the body. For many people, understanding what’s happening physically can be just as important as understanding what’s happening mentally.

I consider myself a tangible therapist. This means therapy isn’t only about insight or talking things through, although understanding matters. It also means working with practical tools, strategies, and skills you can use outside of sessions to help things feel more manageable in your daily life.

Rather than following a rigid formula, I integrate these approaches based on what you’re dealing with, your goals, and your pace. The aim is therapy that feels thoughtful, grounded, and applicable, not overly clinical or abstract.
