You’re Trying to Hold Everything Together

You’ve done what you can to stay on top of all that you’re carrying, but it’s starting to feel unsustainable and exhausting.

For many of the people I work with, this is how anxiety, OCD, or ADHD show up.

Not as visible chaos on the outside, but as constant strain on the inside.

For women and young professionals, this can feel like mounting pressure, self-doubt, and never quite being at ease.
For college students and teens, this often looks like worry, perfectionism, or difficulties with motivation and procrastination.

You Don’t Have to Feel This Way

Working with me means having a space where what’s happening beneath the surface is genuinely understood.

I’ll help you make sense of the patterns shaping your thoughts, emotions, and reactions, rather than asking you to simply manage them or push through.

Together we’ll focus on loosening what is keeping you stuck, while building on the strengths you already have.

My goal isn’t to change who you are, but to help you feel more grounded, capable, and present in your life.

Pronouns: she/her/hers

I’m Alex, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #149756) based in Santa Barbara, CA, offering therapy both in person and throughout California.

I work with pre-teens, teens, women, and young adults who feel overwhelmed by their inner world, even when things appear to be going well on the outside. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and used to pushing through, yet feel mentally exhausted, stuck in self-doubt, or disconnected from their lives.

My approach blends evidence-based treatment with a deeper, reflective understanding of change. I draw from neuroscience-informed and mindfulness-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), as well as somatic work, always tailoring each session to what feels most relevant and supportive for you.

In our work together, we’ll focus on understanding how your mind operates, giving language to experiences that have felt difficult to name, and creating changes that actually hold over time. Therapy with me is about helping you develop a steadier relationship with yourself, so life feels less effortful and more aligned with who you are.
